What is Sela?

Sela is a voice journaling app that captures short audio entries and uses AI to transcribe, analyze, and resurface your memories based on location and context.

How do I record an entry?

Open the app and tap the record button. Speak naturally for up to 30–60 seconds. Sela will automatically transcribe your recording and generate insights.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your recordings and data are encrypted and protected by row-level security, meaning only you can access your own entries. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How does location-based resurfacing work?

When you record an entry, Sela tags it with your current location. When you revisit that place later, Sela can remind you of past memories associated with it.

Can I delete my entries?

Yes. You can delete individual entries at any time within the app. If you want to delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.

What devices are supported?

Sela is currently available as a mobile app. Check back for updates on platform availability.

Troubleshooting

• Recording not working: Make sure Sela has microphone permissions enabled in your device settings.
• Location not detected: Ensure location services are enabled for Sela in your device settings.
• Transcription seems off: Transcriptions work best in quieter environments. Try re-recording in a less noisy space.
• App crashing or freezing: Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, make sure you're on the latest version.
